We place a great deal of importance in our organisation on a healthy, balanced diet.
- Fresh meals are prepared daily in our own kitchen by chefs from the firm Dussmann Catering s.à r.l.
- A menu selection corresponding to the guidelines of the Luxembourg health ministry is created by the chefs every 6 weeks under the supervision of a nutritionist and in cooperation with the educators.
- We also take care to ensure that organic, fair trade, local and / or regional products are used in the preparation of meals.
Educators and children have breakfast together at around 9 a.m. during the holidays. They have a choice of fruit, vegetable sticks, bread with cold meat, cream cheese or jam with tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, natural yoghurt or quark on alternate days.
We offer the children at least 3 types of salad / vegetables every day and soup or another starter on alternate days in addition to the main course.
Dessert each day consists of 4 or 5 different types of fruit and the children are also offered dairy desserts, cake or similar items on alternate days 2 or 3 times a week.
The children are only given still water to drink at lunchtime.
The children have a chance to refuel. They are offered fresh fruit each day with cereals, bread or yoghurt with muesli on alternate days.
